[Call for participants] European Youth Event (EYE)

European Youth Event (EYE)

Strasbourg, 29-30 May 2020

Call for participants

(deadline: 22/02/20)

Do you want to join thousands of young people to discuss and develop ideas on the future of Europe? Are you motivated to speak up on behalf of the youth from your country and advocate for a more united and democratic EU? If yes, the European Youth Event (EYE2020) is a place for you!

What is the EYE?

Every two years since 2014, the European Parliament has been opening its doors to thousands of young Europeans, allowing them to discuss matters of importance to them in a series of interactive activities and present their ideas to decision-makers. Two years ago, the event attracted nearly 9,000 participants representing 109 nationalities and all EU Member States.

The 4th edition of the EYE will take place in the European Parliament in Strasbourg between 29-30 May 2020. The Young European Federalists (JEF Europe) is organizing a group visit for 20 young people, aiming to bring a team of dedicated supporters of Europe to the event. During EYE2020, you can choose from nearly 300 activities, including a mini-hackathon organized by JEF Europe, during which you will be able to propose improvements to the EU decision-making process to make it more effective. In addition, you will have the opportunity to join the Yo!Fest organized by the European Youth Forum outside of the Parliament, where JEF will organize a similar activity. You can find the EYE2020 programme here.

JEF Europe will partially cover the costs of travel, accommodation and meals as part of the EYE with the support of the European Parliament.

The EYE strives to promote equality, inclusiveness and civic engagement with a strong commitment to accessibility for everyone.
