JEF-Europe's contribution to the Green Paper on Promoting the Learning Mobility of Young People
On 14 December 2009 the Young European Federalists (JEF-Europe) submitted a contribution to the consultation on the Green Paper on Promoting the Learning Mobility of Young people.
Young people today have many possibilities to move freely and independently around Europe. However, there are still obstacles to overcome and chances to be made. As a general task to tackle would be to mention an increase of the possibilities to get education; the mobility increases with the degree of education achieved. Young people from educationally disadvantaged levels often don't know about the mobility possibilities and thus do not make use of them. Therefore it’s fundamental that education is improved and increased at all levels. Furthermore, we need broader informational services than present, to inform the youngsters about their options and possibilities.
